Department of Chemical Engineering

The Department started in 1954 with the name of Department of Technology and it is bifurcated as Department of Chemical Engineering very recently. The Department offers instructions at the UG, PG and Doctoral Level leading to Batch (Chemical Engineering), M.. Tech (Chemical Engineering) in Chemical Reaction Engineering, Plant Design, Process Dynamics and Control, Environmental Engineering, M.. Tech (Chemical Technology) in Material Science &Technology, Technology of Pharmaceuticals and Fine Chemicals, M. Tech in        Bio Chemical Engineering & Bio Technology and PhD programmes in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology /Bio Technology.

Chemical Engineering is a rapidly growing interdisciplinary domain with special link to Food Technology and Textile Technology.

It is one of the strongest departments in the university with highly qualified and experienced faculty working for the standards of the quality teaching and research that credits the institution in a high profile status with varied and emerging are also research interest.
